We last visited here in 2019 (pre Covid) and had an excellent day out I had hoped to catch their 300th anniversary last year but it was not possible.

They are celebrating with a Legends of Industry Gala this year it is one of the premier industrial railway events in the calendar. Taking place on the 21st June 2026, this spectacular event is a must-see for railway enthusiasts and families alike.

Join them for an unforgettable showcase with a visiting locomotive, Victorian carriages, demonstration freight trains and an intensive timetable that will bring steam train travel to life. Whether you’re a railway enthusiast, history lover, or simply looking for a fun family day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Immerse yourself in the golden age of industrial railways with:   SIX home fleet steam locomotives operating alongside a guest star. (subject to availability).

There will be

 an intensive train timetable, providing non-stop action across the weekend.

 Stunning photographic opportunities at historic sites like Marley Hill engine shed and Causey Arch.

 Join one of our knowledgeable guides on a tour of Marley Hill Engine Shed.

The tickets will be rover tickets.
